Can't concentrate and losing patience

AAArgh I need to stop
a) getting bullied when a middle stack
b) getting bullied when the largest stack on a table

Not sure what it is at the moment, I can start off OK then end up getting frustrated.
Just seems that whenever I want to play, raises come at wrong time for so-so cards, then if I get a bit more aggressive someone goes over the top. Keeps ending up with me getting so hacked off that I make a bad call which puts me out or nearly out.

Really did my head in this afternoon when I doubled up early on Mansion, had twice as many chips as other people on table, just could not play with them - raises were called or re-raised big time, not once did I manage to exert any pressure, in fact seemed that people were putting it on me. Twice I played medium pairs with reasonable confidence, twice I had to lay down to people re-raising huge!!! and as for the other hands I don't even want to remember.... In the end I just had to wait for AA and be thankful for it when that got re-raised too.
The latter tables got better but just didn't feel right at all early on.

Hopefuly can look back on this post in a few days and feel better about it.

Multi-tasking is hard work when servers don't work

Hard work for $30 playing $10k game and V-points at same time with continually being kicked out of software on both - lost loads when I couldn't get back in on the $10k game, which as I had been doing well was a bit annoying.

It felt like justice when after no cards for ages was all in with K10 on bb of $1.5k (I added my last 50 or so chips 'cos really a raise wasn't worth folding too).
K10 vs AQ and I got the straight.
Very next hand AQ suited vs two all-ins and a couple of other callers, don't think I have a thing, every checks to river and I get a pot of $10k +.
Made me smile after about 15mins of screaming at a PC that won’t let you back into the game.
Shame on V-points just went up and down like a yo-yo until eventually going down & out.

Bit gutted to go out on the 41st bubble, as two hands in a row had the best starter but lost
My all-in with A10 only got me the side-pot as A3 got pair 3's.
All-in then with big blind Q10.. table folds, small blind calls with 62 & gets the 2.

Oh well it's the 5 cards that count.. I guess, not that I am bitter.

Going to Ibiza

Friday night in Leeds at PL game - came 3rd which for a live game with good opposition was pleased with. Great night, great company.. two hours sleep (if that)
Sunday evening, still not feeling altogether myself after a long, long drive home on Saturday, just about managed to stay awake & look what happened.

Was worth rushing home for (registered with les than 5 minutes left)
Came second after the most tight, exhausting but enjoyable heads up. Well done to Lars on his first MTT win.
A good game of poker gave me the energy to return to my flat in order to start on the final clean up & steaming of carpets until the early hours of the morning.

Wow what a game the bloggers freeroll was - amazing game, some great players and sooooooooo many congratulations to moFace. My pocket pairs had to fail me at some point. Happy with 3rd if not a little jealous but couldn't be happier for you mo.

Weirdest hand of all was the AQ i called all-in with never seen a hand like it. To see the cards all go over was weird enough but when the flop came down it was just plain spooky!

Well too shattered at the moment to write anymore.

On the horizon

Will have to update with a brief summary of my poker life so far since Dec 2005. Got some pics of the Maxim Final today to sort through so watch this space....
